Privacy Policy

Atlas is built by OfffWhite Design. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, and Atlas is designed from the ground up to respect yours. This Privacy Policy explains what data Atlas handles, how it's stored, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

• Atlas stores your projects locally on your Mac by default.
• We don't track you, sell your data, or share it with advertisers.
• When you use AI Chat, you bring your own API key — your prompts go directly to your chosen provider, not to us.
• Anonymous analytics are used only on our marketing website to understand page views and performance.

2. Information we collect

Atlas the macOS app collects as little information as possible. Specifically:

• Your canvas data — notes, sketches, images, links, and projects — is stored locally on your device. We never see it.
• Account data — if you subscribe to Atlas Pro, we store your email and billing information through our payment processor to manage your subscription.
• Crash reports— if the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic data may be sent through Apple's built-in crash reporting so we can fix bugs. You can opt out of this in macOS System Settings.

3. Third-party services

Atlas integrates with a small number of optional third-party services:

• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) — only when you provide your own API key. Requests go directly from your device to the provider. We never see or store your prompts.
• Payment processing for Atlas Pro — handled by our payment processor. We receive only what's needed to manage your subscription.
• Website analytics — our marketing website uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for anonymous, aggregated visit and performance data.

4. Data security

Because your canvas data stays on your device, its security is largely governed by macOS itself. We recommend enabling FileVault, using strong account passwords, and keeping your Mac up to date. For data we do handle (subscriptions), we use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest through trusted processors.

5. Your rights

You can delete your Atlas projects at any time — they are yours. If you have an Atlas Pro subscription, you can cancel anytime and request deletion of your account data by emailing us at the contact address below. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's privacy

Atlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Atlas evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and notify users through the app or by email where appropriate.
